How to play

Draft your team, join a league, then follow the live leaderboard.

Pick exactly 4 golfers

Your team must contain four different players. Duplicate picks are not allowed.

Stay within 100 points

Each player has a draft cost. Your four-player total must be 100 points or less.

Lowest score wins

Your score is the combined tournament score of your four players, plus any penalties.

Teams lock before tee-off

Teams lock before the first tee time. After lock, no new teams or edits are allowed.

Scoring

Golf scoring applies: negative is good, positive is bad.

A team at -15 beats a team at -2. A team at +6 is worse than both.

Penalties are added when they are confirmed. A player who misses the cut receives the CUT penalty after the cut is confirmed at the end of Round 2.

Cut line

The Round 2 cut can move while play is still happening.

Projected cut

During Round 2, the projected cut line can change as players finish holes. It gives everyone a live idea of who is safe and who is in danger.

The cut is only final once the last golfer has finished Round 2. CUT penalties are applied once that status is confirmed in the results feed.

You can see your own full team. Rival teams only reveal their best player teaser.

Season standings

Current major first, season totals building across the 2026 majors.

The current major is shown as the main league table. As each major completes, its league result can be kept for season standings, so leagues can track scores across the 2026 major run.

Invalid teams, warning emails and automatic emergency swaps

After the final tournament field and draft prices are updated, your saved team must still be valid: four eligible players, no removed/unmatched players, and no more than 100 draft points in total.

Before the tournament starts

If your team becomes invalid after a field or pricing update, The Golf Draft may email you to ask you to edit your team before entries lock. This can happen if a player is removed from the field, withdraws, or updated prices push your team over the 100 point limit.

Emergency automatic fix

If your team is still invalid close to the entry lock, The Golf Draft may make the smallest automatic change needed to give you a valid team. This is designed to keep everyone in the game fairly if someone forgets to update their team in time.

If a saved player is no longer eligible, the system may replace them with the highest-ranked available player who fits within your remaining budget.
If your team is over 100 points, the system may replace the lowest-ranked player from a group above the bottom group with the highest-ranked player who makes the team valid.
You may still edit your team yourself until entries lock.

Notification after a change

If an automatic emergency swap is made, The Golf Draft may email you with the player removed, the player added, and the reason for the change. You can still make your own changes until the official entry lock time.
